Women's Tennis Sophomores

Three members of Mercer women’s tennis played in their final regular season home match on April 13th.  These three sophomores helped lead Mercer to their highest finish ever at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in 2025.  These three sophomores also excelled off the court and helped MCCC women’s tennis earn NJCAA All-American All-Academic Team honors for the 2024-25 academic year, given to a team having a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 

Julia Fillat Ferrer is an Advertising & Graphic Design major from Barcelona, Spain.  Fillat Ferrer has been playing in the top flight for Mercer this spring after playing 2nd Singles in 2025.  Fillat Ferrer was an NJCAA Academic All-American for the 2024-2025 academic year.  Fillat Ferrer earned All-Region and All-Conference All-Academic honors for all three of her semesters at Mercer.  Fillat Ferrer has also been a two-year member of the MCCC women’s soccer team.  Fillat Ferrer was selected as Mercer’s National Women in Sports Day representative for Region 19 for her academic and athletic achievements as well as teamwork and leadership.

 

Sarvin Salehi is a Nursing major from Princeton, NJ.  Salehi has played 2nd and 3rd Singles this season and 1st and 2nd Doubles.  Salehi has earned All-Region and All-Conference All-Academic honors in her two semesters at MCCC.

 

Aida Torrealba is a Biology major from San Felipe, Venezuela.  Torrealba is Mercer’s team captain.  Torrealba plays 2nd and 3rd Singles and 2nd Doubles this spring.  Torrealba earned All-Region and All-Conference All-Academic honors for the Spring 2025 semester.
