Women's Tennis Sophomores to Play Final Home Matches April 28th and 29th

 

Three women’s tennis players will be playing in their final home matches on April 28th and 29th.  Andrea Vasquez (San Felipe, Venezuela/Hightstown) has been playing 1st Singles for the Vikings.  Diana Kalajdzic (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown HS) and Makenna Swasey (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert)

 

Vasquez has two wins at 1st Singles this spring and 4 wins in Doubles matches with three different teammates as partners.  In 2024, Vasquez went 10-5 in Doubles matches and 9-5 in Singles matches.  Vasquez mostly played 4th Singles and 2nd Doubles for the Vikings last spring.  Vasquez is a Business Administration major with a concentration in Global Studies and earned All-Region All-Academic honors in Fall 2023.

 

In 2024, Kalajdzic went 9-4 in Doubles matches and 8-5 in Singles matches.  Kalajdzic played 3rd Singles and 2nd Doubles for Mercer last spring.  This spring Kalajdzic is 4-6 in Singles and Doubles matches this spring, playing 1st Doubles with different partners and alternating between 1st and 3rd flights in Singles matches.  Kalajdzic is a Business Administration major who earned All-Region All-Academic honors in Fall 2024.  Kalajdzic was a 2025 National Women in Sports Day selection for her academic and athletic achievements, leadership and teamwork.

 

Swasey went 10-4 in Singles matches and 7-7 in Doubles matches in 2024.  Swasey is 6-4 in Singles and Doubles matches this spring.  Swasey is a Biology major.
