Women's Soccer Sophomores Part of 19 Wins Last Two Seasons

Mercer women’s soccer honored their three sophomore players at their final regular season home game on Saturday, September 30th, an 11-0 win vs Lackawanna.  The Vikings three sophomore players are Liz Kelley (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor South), Victoria Woodruff (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) and Hannah Worrell (Florence, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial).  Kelley, Woodruff and Worrell were members of the 2022 women’s soccer team that had the first undefeated regular season in program history, going 15-0.  The three sophomores have been a part of 19 wins for women’s soccer over the past two seasons.

 

 

Kelley is a forward and has scored four goals in two seasons.  Kelley is a Psychology major.  Woodruff is also a forward and has three goals and two assists in two seasons.  Woodruff is a Business Studies-Entrepreneurship major.  Hannah Worrell is a midfielder has had one goal and one assist this season.  Worrell is an Exercise Science major.

 

 

The Vikings earned a bye into the Region 19 Championship game on October 28th and will take on the winner of Essex vs Lackawanna.  Kelley, Woodruff and Worrell will try to lead Mercer to a Region title this season after falling to Sussex 1-4 in the 2022 championship game.

 

Thank you to these three sophomore players for the time and hard work they have put into women's soccer the past two seasons.
