MCCC Women's Basketball Continue to Move Up National Rankings
Mercer women’s basketball continues to rise in the rankings in the NJCAA Division II National Poll. In the first poll of the new year, the Mustangs moved up one place to 18th in the country. Mercer is currently 11-3 on the season.
Mercer’s three losses have been against teams currently in the top 10: #5 Harcum, #7 Union and #10 CCBS Essex. The Mustangs will face Harcum again on February 14th and Union again on February 17th.
While it’s fun to “poll watch” the focus for Mercer remains getting better every game and getting a top seed for the Region Playoffs. The Mustangs will likely face one of the top teams, in the country, Harcum and/or Union, not just to close out the regular season but again in the playoffs.
