Women's Basketball Player Francisco Named Conference Player of the Week
Freshman women’s basketball player Evangelina Francisco (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township) was named the GSAC (Garden State Athletic Conference) Player of the Week for November 29th-December 6th.
Francisco had an outstanding week helping lead Mercer to two wins and an 8-2 record overall. In two games, Francisco had 51 points, 16 steals, 15 assists and 15 rebounds. Francisco had 27 points, nine steals and eight assists in Mercer's 98-51 win at Del Tech. Francisco followed this up with 24 points, seven steals and seven assists in Mercer's 104-64 win at RCSJ Gloucester. Francisco averaged 25.5 points per game this week along with 8 steals per game and 7.5 assists per game while shooting 51% from the field and 44% from three point range.
