Women's Basketball Player Alford Named Conference Player of the Week
Sophomore women’s basketball player Mayah Alford (Levittown, PA/Trenton Catholic Academy) was named the GSAC (Garden State Athletic Conference) Player of the Week for November 9th-15th. Alford had her third and 4th straight doubles this season to help MCCC move to 3-1 on the season. In Mercer's 86-45 win vs Cecil, Alford had 21 points and 21 rebounds, including 12 offensive rebounds. Alford had 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 steals in Mercer's 72-41 win vs Frederick. Alford averaged 15.5 points and 16 rebounds last week in Mercer's two wins.
