Softball's Logan Hits For Cycle

Freshman softball player Stella Logan (Trenton, NJ/Allentown HS) achieved a rare feat last week in Mercer’s 12-1 win at CC of Morris.  Logan hit for the cycle, getting a single, double, triple and home run in going 4 for 4 with three RBIs in the five inning win.

Through 22 games, Logan is batting .533 with 40 hits and 44 RBIs.  Logan has ten home runs and a slugging percentage of 1.12.  A slugging percentage over 1 means that on average that player gets a hit at almost every at bat.  Logan is in the top 30 in NJCAA Division II softball in batting average (21st), slugging percentage (8th), RBIs (24th) and home runs (29th).

Logan’s impressive offensive numbers have helped the Vikings get off to one of their best starts in program history, going 21-0 before losing their first game this past Saturday vs Del Tech.
