The Mercer men’s and women’s home soccer schedule will feature several special games with the goal of increasing student and community involvement. Mercer men’s soccer will host Monroe on Thursday, September 11th in a game that will feature multiple tributes to all those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in 2001.
Mercer’s doubleheader vs Region rival Essex on October 4th will help kickoff Alumni Weekend. In addition to these two soccer games on the 4th, MCCC softball will also be hosting a doubleheader that day at 11:00 AM. The night of October 4th will be the MCCC Athletic Hall of Fame Reception. Sunday, October 5th will be Mercerpalooza featuring food and games for families and the community. Monday, October 6th will be Mercer’s Annual Golf Classic.
Mercer’s soccer doubleheader on Wednesday, October 8th will be Cancer Awareness Night featuring tributes, giveaways and music to bring awareness to those who have or are battling all forms of cancer. The start of the games will have all athletes “stand up” to cancer, holding a sign with a name of someone they know who has or is battling cancer.
Saturday, October 18th will be the final regular season home games for Mercer soccer and will be Sophomore Day for both teams. Sophomore players on both teams will be recognized before each game.
