Van Den Berg Named GSAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Sophomore Jesse Van Den Berg (Rhoon, Natherlands/Portus Groene Hart) was named the Men’s Soccer Division II Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Player of the Week for the week of September 6^th-12^th.  Van Den Berg had a hat trick and assist in Mercer’s 5-0 win vs 7^th ranked Essex.  The sophomore wasted little time making his presence felt, scoring twice in the opening 10 minutes to give Mercer an early commanding advantage. He finished the match with three goals and one assist and continues to lead Region 19 in both goals scored and total points.
