Sina Named GSAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Freshman Alehandro Sina (Belluno, Italy/V. Follzolo De Rossi) was named the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Player of the Week for September 13th-19th. Sina recorded one goal and two assists across two matches as Mercer went 2-0 on the week and extended its winning streak to five games.
In Mercer's 8-0 victory over No. 9-ranked NJCAA Division III Ocean County College on September 17, Sina helped drive the Mustangs' attack with two assists. He followed that performance by finding the back of the net in Mercer's 3-0 road victory over Harford Community College on September 18.
The freshman midfielder has established himself as an important part of Mercer's attack and currently ranks third nationally with six assists on the season. His ability to impact play throughout the midfield has helped Mercer control possession while creating scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates.
