Annan Named GSAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
10/23/26
Mercer men’s soccer player Stephen Annan was named the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Player of the Week for October 11th-18th.
Annan played a key role in leading the Mustangs to a perfect 2-0 week, recording an impressive three goals and one assist for seven total points while helping Mercer improve its overall record to 10-2-2. The freshman midfielder contributed to Mercer's commanding 7-2 road victory over Harcum College on October 13 before delivering another standout performance in a 5-0 shutout victory over Prince George's Community College on October 17. Annan scored twice against Prince George's, helping the Mustangs secure their second consecutive victory.
Beyond his offensive production, Annan continues to demonstrate exceptional composure, field awareness, and the ability to control possession in the midfield. His steady play and ability to create scoring opportunities have made him an important contributor to Mercer's success this season. Annan's impressive offensive performances, consistency, and leadership on the field make him a deserving recipient of this week's GSAC Division II Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors.
