In the week 6 NJCAA DII National poll, Mercer men’s soccer moved up a spot to a number 2 ranking in the country and remained there for the Week 7 poll, which was just released. Mercer is 12-0 on the season with four regular season games left.
Mercer had a big Region win this week, holding on to beat rival Essex 1-0 on October 4th.
MCCC began the preseason as the #7 seed and has slowly moved their way up the rankings.
While it’s fun for Mercer fans to “poll watch”, the team remains focused on continuing to improve so they are playing their best when the post season begins. “It’s nice for us, but this doesn’t mean anything. We focus on the next game and what we need to do to win a national championship” said Assistant Coach Haris Abawi.
