Mercer Men’s Soccer is headed to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Wichita, Kansas. The Mustangs earned one of four at large bids to the championship following their tie in the Northeast District Championship with St. Clair advancing on penalty kicks. Mercer earned a #3 seed in the twelve-team tournament.
The National Tournament follows a pool play format. The Mustangs are in Pool C and will begin play on Sunday, November 16th vs #10 seed Pellissippi State (TN) at 4:00 PM (EST). Mercer will take on #6 seed Neosho County on Tuesday, November 18th at 4:00 PM (EST).
MCCC enters the National Tournament with a 17-0-1 record and #2 ranking in the country. Pellissippi State won the Southern District Championship and is 14-2 on the season. Neosho County is 14-3-1 on the season and was ranked #4 in the final DII regular season poll. Neosho earned an at-large bid after losing to #15 ranked Johnson County in the Region 6 Championship.
