Men's Lacrosse Sophomores

In honor of MCCC men’s lacrosse final home game, which is this Tuesday, April 16^th at 6:00 PM vs Sussex CCC, we will highlight Mercer’s four sophomore players for their “Sophomore Night.”

Faceoff specialist Izzy Miranda (Tampa, FL/Tampa Catholic) is currently 6^th in the nation in faceoffs won with 77 out of 127.  Miranda finished the 2023 season with 67 out of 100 faceoffs won, which was 10^th best in the nation.  Over two seasons, Miranda has won 155 faceoffs.  Miranda has picked up 75 groundballs this spring and 50 in 2023, for a total of 125 over two seasons. Miranda earned 1st Team All-Region 19 and All-GSAC (Garden State Athletic Conference) honors in 2023.  Miranda is a Cybersecurity major.  Miranda has earned All-Region 19 and All-GSAC All-Academic honors in each of his three semesters at MCCC (Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Fall 2023).

Midfielder/attacker Braden Travaglini (Berlin, NJ/Eastern Regional) has seven goals and three assists in the 2024 season.  In 2023, Travaglini had 16 goals and 3 assists.  In his two seasons at MCCC, Travaglini has 23 goals, 6 assists and 29 points.  In 2023, Travaglini earned 1st Team All-Region 19 and All-GSAC honors.  Travaglini is a Digital Film major.  Travaglini has earned All-Region 19 and All-GSAC All-Academic honors in Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 and earned All-GSAC All-Academic honors in Fall 2022.

Defender/long stick midfielder Theo Deberghes (Howell, NJ/Howell HS) has played in five games in the 2024 season and scored 4 goals with one assist and picked up five groundballs.  In 2022, Deberghes picked up 75 groundballs and had 11 goals and one assist.  Deberghes earned All-Region 19 and All-GSAC honors in 2022.  Deberghes is a Digital Film major.

Defender Tyler Unkert (Milford, NJ/Delaware Valley Regional) has picked up seven ground balls in seven games in the 2024 season.  Unkert is a Fire Science Technology major.  Unkert earned All-Region 19 and All-GSAC All-Academic honors in both the Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 semesters.
