Men's Basketball Clinches Region Playoff Spot

Mercer men’s basketball continues to make a remarkable turnaround to the 2025-2026 season after starting the season 0-8. MCCC is currently 14-11 and Region record of 8-3 The Mustangs clinched a spot in the Region 19 Playoffs following an 78-68 overtime win vs Del Tech.  Mercer followed this with two more Region wins, beating Middlesex 77-69 and Raritan Valley 78-73. 

 

With these two wins Mercer finds themselves in first place in the Region and battling for a top seed as they close out the regular season.  What seemed improbable at the start of the season marks a dramatic turnaround for MCCC who are playing their best basketball in the second half of the season.

 

Mercer’s final Region game is tonight vs Lackawanna and then the Mustangs must wait their playoff seed depending on how their Region opponents finish their regular season.

 

The most important basketball is still remaining but just getting to where Mercer has been a major win.  The Mustangs will look to continue to ride this momentum as the Region 19 Playoffs begin.
