Idrovo Named Men's Basketball Region 19 Player of the Year

Sophomore men’s basketball player Joell Idrovo (Hamilton, NJ/Solebury School) was named the Region 19 Division II Men’s Basketball Player of the Year. Idrovo averaged 19.8 points per game and finished the season with 634 points. Idrovo shot 49% from the field and 85% from the free throw line. Idrovo had the ability to shoot quality shoots and also drive to the basket and get to the foul line. Idrovo’s 634 point is 10th most in Division II men’s basketball this season.
Idrovo was named the Region 19 Tournament MVP and helped lead Mercer to its first Region 19 Championship in 16 years. Idrovo also scored his 1,000th career point on February 17th, becoming the first MCCC player to reach this milestone since 2019.
