Men's Basketball Continues Hot Streak

Mercer men’s basketball continues their hot streak and dramatic turnaround with two wins last week, their sixth and seventh straight wins.  After starting the 2025-2026 season 0-8, the Mustangs are now 7-9 and have put themselves in the hunt for a Region 19 Playoff spot.

In order to qualify for the Region Playoffs a team must either have a .500 record overall or .500 record in Region play.  The Mustangs are 8-9 overall and 3-3 in Region play.  Mercer faces a critical stretch of six Region games starting this Thursday, Jan 22^nd at CC Morris.  Mercer hosts Middlesex on January 27^th and Essex on the 31^st.  In February Mercer hosts Del Tech on the 3^rd, travels to Raritan Valley on the 7^th and then hosts Lackawanna on the 10^th.

After a rough start to the season, Mercer has been on an improbable run that they hope can continue with a run to the playoffs.
