Baseball Sophomores to Play Final Regular Season Home Game on April 25th

Mercer baseball’s fiftteen sophomores will be playing in their final regular season home game on Friday, April 25^th.

Pitcher Maverick Foster (Bethel, CT/Canterbury School) has 38 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched and is 3-0 this spring.  Catcher Owen Friddell (Delran, NJ/Delran) is batting .421 and has 45 hits this spring.  Outfielder Donny Gallagher (Stockton, NJ/South Hunterdon) is batting .394 with five home runs and 26 hits this spring.  Relief pitcher Matteo Gravano (Palmyra, NJ/Palmyra HS) has two saves and eight strikeouts in 10.1 innings pitched.  Pitcher Hamlet Disla (Pennsuaken, NJ/Pennsauken Tech) had 19 strikeouts in 15 innings pitched in 2024 and been limited in action this spring.

Infielder Shane Hickey (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) has 11 RBIs in 12 games this spring, returning from a broken wrist.  In 2024, Hickey had 24 hits and 39 RBIs.  Relief pitcher James Hyman (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) has a 2.45 ERA and six strikeouts in 7.1 innings pitched.  Relief pitcher Christian Kegel (Newtown Square, PA/Marple Newtown) has six strikeouts in five innings pitched.

Ryan Leary (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) is an infielder who has 24 hits and 17 stolen bases this spring.  Pitcher Matteo Mannino (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) earned All-Region honors in the 2024 season.  In 2024, Mannino lead the Vikings with 63.1 innings pitched and wins went 7-2 on the season and had 30 strikeouts in 63.1 innings pitched.  Mannino is 5-4 this spring with 23 strikeouts in 45 innings pitched

Pitcher Connor Parsons (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) has 21 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched this spring.  Infielder Jake Pope (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) got his 100^th career hit this spring.  Pope is batting .362 and has 50 hits 28 stolen bases. In 2024, Pope led the Vikings with a .402 batting average, had 66 hits, 42 runs, 38 RBIs and 16 stolen bases. 

Infielder Eddison Ramos (Providence, RI/E Cubed Academy) hit .250 in 2024 and has seen limited action this spring.  Catcher and first baseman Joey Socorro (West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) is batting .344 this spring with 32 hits and 32 RBIs.  Relief pitcher Michael Whitmore (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) has 20 strikeouts in 17.2 innings pitched this spring.

Pitcher Collin Williams (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) got his 100^th collegiate strikeout and is 8-0 on the season.  Williams has a 1.64 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 44 innings pitched.  Relief pitcher Logan Woodward (Furlong, PA/Germantown Academy) has 24 strikeouts in 18 innings pitched and a 2.95 ERA.
