Softball Player Acevedo Named GSAC Player of the Week and Misier Named GSAC Pitcher of the Week



Freshman softball player Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) was named the GSAC (Garden State Athletic Conference) Player of the Week and sophomore pitcher Delaney Misier (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) was named the GSAC Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 2 nd


In 4 games last week, Acevedo went 10 for 15 with 8 RBIs, 2 triples and 2 home runs.   The utility player is 5 th in the nation (NJCAA Division II Softball) with 4 triples this season.  Acevedo is batting .385 with a .631 slugging percentage and .472 on base percentage.


Misier is 3-1 with 4 saves on the season, which is top in the nation in saves.  In a 15-0 win vs Monroe, Misier struck out 6 in 5 innings and struck out 8 in 5 innings in a 16-1 win at Raritan.  Misier has a 1.93 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 36.1 innings pitched.


Acevedo and Misier have helped the Vikings to a 17-3 record.
