Softball Player Acevedo Named GSAC Player of the Week

Sophomore softball player Arianna Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) was named the GSAC (Garden State Athletic Conference) Player of the Week for April 4th-11th. Acevedo’s ability to get on base and score helped Mercer go 5-1 last week. Acevedo hit .571 with twelve hits, 13 runs and eight stolen bases. In an 12-11 extra inning loss vs Del Tech Acevedo went 4 for 5 with four stolen bases, three runs and two RBIs. Acevedo also had five walks on the week, sparking the Mercer offense from the leadoff position.
