A record thirty MCCC student athletes earned NJCAA All-Academic Team honors for the 2024-2025 academic year. Another record, four Mercer teams also were named NJCAA All-Academic teams for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Student athletes who earned a 3.60 or higher GPA and earned 24 or more credits during the 2024-2025 academic year were named to the NJCAA All-Academic team (in the past called Academic All-Americans.) First Team student athletes had a 4.0 GPA for the academic year, Second Team student athletes had a GPA OF 3.80-3.99 and Third Team had a GPA of 3.60-3.79.
All-Academic teams had a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, including the grades of all of their players. Men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s tennis were Mercer’s four teams named NJCAA All-Academic Teams.
Men’s soccer had eleven players named to NJCAA All-Academic Teams. Women’s soccer had seven players earn All-Academic. Baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s lacrosse, men’s tennis and women’s tennis each had two players named to NJCAA All-Academic Teams.
Four student athletes were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Team, having a perfect 4.0 for the 2024-2025 academic year while earning 24 or more credits. These four student athletes were women’s tennis player Ema Budiate, women’s basketball player Carla Cencerrero Gallego, men’s soccer player Nicolas Carmago Silva and women’s soccer player Sarah Kircher.
Six student athletes were two-time NJCAA All-Academic Team selections: men’s tennis player Marcin Gniadzik, men’s lacrosse player Nolan Halloran, women’s soccer player Sarah Kircher, women’s soccer player Annika Maringer, men’s soccer player Philip Owczarek and men’s soccer player Francesco Quintavalla.
