Eleven MCCC student athletes were named NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Academic All-Americans. Academic All-American needed a GPA between 3.60-4.0 for the 2022-2023 academic year. Academic All-Americans were divided into three teams.
First Team honors went to student athletes with a GPA of 4.0. Sophomores Rachelle Liechti (Rombach, Switzerland) and Lisa Schroeder (Leiferde, Germany/Spotrgymnasium) from women’s soccer and sophomore Rodrigo Suarez Camacho (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/Britanico Santa Cruz HS) from men’s soccer earned 1 st Team honors.
Second Team honors were for student athletes with a GPA between 3.80-3.99. Sophomore Jimmy Baars (Kudelstaart, Netherlands/Alkwin College) and freshman Oleksii Mykhalchuk (Kiev, Ukraine) from men’s soccer, sophomores Georgia Jew (Shrewsbury, UK/Shrewsbury Sixth Form) and Sophia Najem (Florence, NJ/Florence Township Memorial) from women’s soccer, sophomore Delaney Misier (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) from softball and freshman Cody Rosier (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) from men’s lacrosse earned 2 nd Team honors.
Third Team honors went to student athletes with a GPA between 3.60-3.79. Sophomore men’s soccer player Filippo Dapelo (Italy) and freshman softball player Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville HS) earned 3 rd Team Academic All-American honors.
