Reggie Murray - Head Coach Women's Basketball

3rd Season

Following a legendary coaching career at Trenton Central High School, Reggie Murray takes over as Head Coach of MCCC Women’s Basketball for long-time coach Mike Tenaglia who stepped down after 30 years as the Head Vikings Coach. Murray coached the girls basketball team at TCHS for 32 years and had 600 wins during this time. He is considered “the most winning coach” in Mercer County history.

Murray led the Tornadoes to the Tournament of Champions three times, including a TOC win in 2002 when the team posted a 30-1 record, which is the best in Mercer County history. The team also reached the TOC finals in 2007 and 2008. During his time at TCHS, Murray won 2 NJSIAA (New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association) Group IV titles, 4 Mercer County Tournament championships and 9 CVC (Colonial Valley Conference) titles.

Murray is a graduate of TCHS and Seton Hall University. He was a Physical Education teacher at Trenton for 40 years. In 2008, Murray was inducted into the NJSCA (New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association) Hall of Fame.
