Mercer baseball won their opening game of the Region 19 Tournament 5-0 over the #3 seed Morris.  The Vikings enter as the #1 seed in the double elimination tournament hosted by Del Tech Owens.  Sophomore pitcher Nick Economos (Worcester, MA/Worcester Academy) struck out 10 to move to 7-0 on the season.  Sophomore Joe Santospago (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs.  Sophomore Shane Monahan (Levittown, PA/Truman) and freshman Brandon Abdul (Matawan, NJ/Old Bridge) each added an RBI in the win.  Sophomore Brandon Kirk (Yardville, NJ/Hamilton West) was 2 for 3 and sophomore Angel Garced (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) went 2 for 4 with a double and triple.  The Vikings will face the #2 seed Lackawanna in the Winner's Bracket of the Region 19 Tournament.
