PCDI Students Develop Cooking Skills at MCCC Culinary Center

Adolescent students from the Princeton Child Development Institute came to MCCC's Culinary Center this spring for a six-week program that enabled the students to gain both cooking skills and social experience.

"Chef Frank Benowitz not only provided an opportunity for these young men to acquire new kitchen and food preparation skills, but provided classroom experiences that allowed our learners to display acquired social skills with new persons in a new environment," said PCDI Executive Director Gregory MacDuff in a letter to Dr. Donohue.  "Chef Benowitz's attitude of 'giving back to the community' is more than commendable and is my hope that PCDI and MCCC will maintain this newfound relationship," he added.

In early May, Chef Benowitz was invited to attend PCDI's Spring Sensations Gala, a fundraiser for the school that celebrated their community partners.  The school held both live and silent auctions that raised $350,000 for their school's programs.
