West Windsor, N.J. -- The Mercer County Symphonic Band will present its annual Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 15, at 8 p.m. at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre. The theatre is located on the college’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. Admission is free.
The band, now in its 32nd year, is under the direction of Dr. Louis Woodruff, with 60 participating musicians spanning six decades in age. It has gained a reputation for high quality, entertaining performances, which routinely draw large audiences. The concert will include a rich assortment of contemporary American compositions, familiar favorites, and patriotic selections.
The band is supported by the Arts and Communication Division of Mercer County Community College, with funding from the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission, through a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
The Mercer County Symphonic Band is open to all interested musicians without audition. It performs at community events, holiday celebrations, MCCC’s graduation ceremony, and other venues open to the public.
