Pierrot Productions Presents Relationship Comedy "Lovers and Other Strangers" at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre May 31-June 9

West Windsor, N.J. – Pierrot Productions presents the uproarious comedy “Lovers and Other Strangers” at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre.  Performances are Fridays, May 31 and June 7 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, June 1 and 8 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, June 2 and 9 at 2 p.m.  Kelsey Theatre is located on the college’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.  A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on May 31.
“Lovers and Other Strangers” is comprised of five funny and heartwarming vignettes that explore the ins and outs and ups and downs of men, women and relationships.

Mike and Susan are preparing for their upcoming wedding; however they seem to be the only two that are satisfied with their relationship.  Mike's brother, Richie, and his wife, Joan, are going through a divorce, which is upsetting his overly devout Catholic mother Beatrice.

Meanwhile, Susan's father is having an affair, and her older sister, Wilma, is going through her own troubles with her husband, Johnny. All this is going on while Mike's best friend Jerry is trying to bed the maid of honor, Susan's cousin, Brenda.

Penned by husband-and-wife team Renee Taylor and Joe Bologna, the play opened on Broadway in 1968, and was made into the 1970 comedy film starring Bonnie Bedelia and Michael Brandon.  The film was nominated for three Academy Awards, and was one of the top box office performers of the year.
