New CNA Program Offered This Spring at MCCC's Trenton Campus; Free Information Session To Be Held Tuesday, Feb. 5

West Windsor, N.J. – This spring, Mercer County Community College’s Center for Continuing Studies is expanding its Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) program to its Trenton campus at 102 North Broad Street.  A free information session will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 3 p.m. in the Kerney Center, room 409. Classes are set to begin April 2.

Continued job growth is anticipated for CNAs, who typically provide patient care in long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, pediatrics and some hospitals.  The program at Mercer is comprised of 50 classroom hours and 40 clinical instruction hours, and prepares participants for the New Jersey certification exam.  More information on the program and class scheduling is available here.

After completing the CNA program, participants are eligible to take an additional 10-hour course to become a Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide (C.H.H.H.A) and are eligible to receive academic credit toward an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree at Mercer.
