Description

International Sculpture Center (ISC) offers variety of opportunities for students to meet the requirements of the work study program.   ISC works with the students when it comes to work schedule.  Work schedule are arranged around student’s class schedule.  In addition to this, ISC is located near the MCCC campus, making it convenient for students to travel to and from school and attend their classes.Our office is adjacent to the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey.  Students will have access to ongoing exhibitions in their museum and the 35-acre sculpture park and gardens.

Duties

   1. Advertising interns assist the Advertising Services Associate to meet monthly advertising goals for Sculpture magazine and in researching and contacting galleries, museums and other art organizations for advertising opportunities

   2. Arts Administration/Development intern provides support to the Executive Director and Executive Assistant. Duties include general clerical and project based work.

   3. Conference & Events interns  will assist in the implementation of event marketing plan, respond to conference / event inquires by phone or email, assist with online registration procedures,  research venues, travel options, and supplemental activities, assist in the creation of the conference program and coordination of on-site logistics, provide  support for staff, attendees, and speakers.

  4. Membership interns assist in the coordination and execution of major education programs and awards and assisting in expanding the Resource Directory, a collection of searchable pages on our website. They display information on galleries, museums, sculpture parks and gardens, local sculptor groups, business offering services to sculptors, and more.  Interns will be responsible for creating power point presentation for program events and work with members in updating their data. 

   5. Web Intern is responsible for creating and updating member portfolios, providing reports in web statistics, designing and distribution of e-newsletters & email blasts, editing and proofreading texts, and performing other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

2 days per week (10 am–4 pm) for four months or a full-semester. Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable within a professional office environment.

Perform in the same professional manner as would an employee that is to maintain regular working hours, punctuality, appropriate conduct and dress.

Prior experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and FileMaker is preferable.  

Previous experience in a non-profit a plus

Schedule New Parent/Child/Volunteer Training sessions & make friendly reminder calls

 

Create e-flyers and communicate with Bigs with respect to holiday parties, events, fundraisers, tickets, activities etc. to enhance match experience, satisfaction and retention.  Manage the RSVP lists and dissemination of tickets.
