What is MYITLAB?

IST101 uses MYITLAB as its course management tool.   Angel is only used in the first week of class.   MYITLAB is a web-based, publisher (Pearson) product that works from your personal computer.   All your assignments are posted and submitted in MYITLAB and not Angel.   Your course syllabus, assignments and instructor are available from within MYITLAB

If you do not log in during the first week of the semester, you will be dropped!

 

 

Get the Book!

You need to purchase the custom textbooks and MYITLAB access code from the Mercer bookstore.   The custom textbooks are sold bundled with the MYITLAB access code at the Mercer bookstore and are priced lower that it costs to purchase each separately.   Without the MYITLAB access code, you will not be able to complete the coursework for IST101.   If you need to purchase MYITLAB online, do so at: www.myitlab.com.   You will need a credit card.

Mac Users

If you are using a Mac, you will need to make sure your system is properly configured prior to beginning coursework. Complete instructions on how to configure your system can be found at http://wps.prenhall.com/bp_myitlab2010_5xmacuser/

 

You will be using Microsoft Office 2010 from a Windows based platform in the lab segment of this course.   In order to take full advantage of the MYITLAB environment you MUST install and use remote desktop client software.   It can be found at http://wps.prenhall.com/bp_myitlab2010_macuser/

Much of the course work will be acceptable from a MAC computer but there will be some minimal discrepancies with the "Grader" project's auto-grading feature from the MAC.   If you are using a MAC, please inform your instructor once in MYITLAB.
