Local Writers Featured in "Kelsey Review" Literary Journal 9-27-04 The “Kelsey Review” 2004, Mercer County Community College’s community-based literary journal, showcases the works of 33 talented Mercer County authors and artists. The journal is now available free of charge at area libraries and bookstores. This edition marks the Kelsey Review’s 16th consecutive year of publication since it was revived by the college in 1988. According to MCCC President Robert Rose, “The Kelsey Review has featured some of the finest literary and artistic talent in the county -- and not just the county, but the country. This year is no exception.” Over the years the journal’s editorial board has received several thousand manuscripts and sketches, publishing the very best and responding to all entrants with personalized, constructive comments. The Kelsey Review is supported in part by a grant from the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission through funding from the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment of the Arts. The editors will be accepting manuscripts in the spring for next year’s edition, with a deadline for submission of May 1. To be eligible for inclusion you must reside or work in Mercer County.
