According
to the American Association of Communitiy Colleges (AACC), the more
than 1,100 community colleges in the U.S. share the common mission of
open access, comprehensive program offerings, a community-based philosophy,
and a commitment to teaching and lifelong learning. Mercer
County Community College will be celebrating Community College Month
with numerous activities and events, including the following: April 11, 6 p.m.: Spring Open House, Student Center. Free and open to the public. Details here. April 12, noon: MCCC Professor Mel Leipzig will lecture on Austrian painting and architecture in the early 20th Century, Communications Building, Room 110. Free and open to the public. Details here. 20-29: "Woyzeck!" will be performed by MCCC's Drama students,
Kelsey Theatre. The audience is invited to join the actors in the lobby
before the show for streudel and coffee to celebrate the world premiere
of this new translation of a famous 1836 German drama by Georg Buchner.
