WINDSOR, NJ: Mercer County Community College invites employers
to give a gift of training to their administrative personnel.
The college will host "It's the Future Again!" at a
full-day conference on April 26 for Administrative Professionals'
Day.
They keynote
address at the conference will be "Facing Change with Humor
and Optimism." Keynote speaker Doni Tamblyn is an internationally-published
author, professional speaker, trainer, comedian, singer and former
commercial actor. She says "Research reveals that laughing
reduces the output of negative stress chemicals in the brain,
while it dramatically improves cognitive and creative thinking
Used appropriately, humor helps people work better, think better,
and get along better. And it sure as heck makes life a lot more
worth living."
The
event takes place at The Conference
Center at Mercer, on the college's West Windsor campus, from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and includes a continental breakfast and buffet
luncheon. The day is designed for all levels of administrative
staff, including secretaries, coordinators, customer service representatives,
public relations representatives and office managers.

Following
the keynote address, participants will attend workshops such as
"Office 2007: What You Need to Know," "Resetting
Your Body's Stress Computer," "Taste the Excitement,"
and "Fit into Tomorrow."
Workshop
presenters include experienced professionals such as Dr. Peter
V. Plumb, an expert on stress reduction, ergonomics and wellness,
Edward Wiegner and Eric Dyott, computer and technology experts
from NT Digital, and Sharon Vecchiarelli, a chef and expert on
organic foods and healthy cooking.
Registration
and continental breakfast begin at 9 a.m., and workshops end at
4 p.m. The fee of $139 includes breakfast, lunch and materials.
Those who register before April 7 receive a discounted price of
