"Africa in the Diaspora" Lecture Series

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. -- “Africa in the Diaspora,” a new series of lectures at Mercer County Community College, will begin February 8 and continue through April.
The series is the brainchild of Professor Noreen Duncan of Trenton, who has been a faculty member at Mercer for 27 years. “The whole notion of African intellectual history is not discussed as much as it should be in western education,” Duncan said. “At Mercer we have some very fine faculty members in our Liberal Arts and Arts and Communication Division. This series will enable them to share their expertise with the entire community.” Duncan and faculty member Lissette Morales will serve as moderators.
All of the lectures, which are free and open to the public, take place on Wednesdays at 12 noon at either of the college’s campuses. Two lectures will be held at the James Kerney Campus at North Broad and Academy Street in downtown Trenton, and seven take place at the West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road. All will be teleconferenced to both campuses.
