WEST WINDSOR, N.J. -- Parents and students are invited to learn how to make college possible through financial aid, as Mercer County Community College hosts an open house, "Paying for College," on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event takes place in the Student Center on the West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. College tours will be available. The
federal government, the State of New Jersey, and Mercer County Community
College offer eligible students a range of financial aid opportunities.
Most aid is provided in the form of grants through federal and state
funded programs. Funds may be awarded for education-related expenses
including tuition, fees, books, and indirect costs such as living expenses
and transportation. Grants are also available through private and college-sponsored
scholarships. Students may also qualify for a tuition tax credit through
the HOPE Scholarship. |
