Dear Mr. Richard Porter,

I would like to thank you for encouraging me all this way by being a positive role model for me. Being that I am
going to be a future teacher, the EOF summer program was a great experience for me to see what it is like to
teach at a university. It was a pleasure to have you as my pre-calc teacher. You have taught me new ways to
solve a problem and to go the distance (and even more!). I would like to wish you the best of luck in the upcoming
semester (i know that you will not need it) and years > to come. I hope that you continue to be the great professor
that you are! Once again, thank you for all that you have done.

Your EOF student,

Kathy Lee

Hi,

Please let me know when you find out what Calc 1 you will be teaching in the fall of 97, since you are a great
professor, I was hoping to be part of your class again.

Aamer.

Dear Professor: Porter,

I would like to say it was great having you as Professor. I learned a lot this semester. You made pre-cal 112
very fun than boring like other teachers. I hope you enjoy your summer and have fun teaching cal III and the EOF
 program this summer.

Plus I would like to say thanks for all your help and spending time with me and helping prepare for the final. I greatly
apprenticed. And I hope I can have you have as a professor for another class in the fall. Again thank you. Hope to
see you and hear from you again. Plus I wish a lot of Professors were like you maybe you can brainwash them to
 be like you.

Sincerely,

Dharmista Patel
