Project 4- The American Museum of Natural History
The American Museum of Natural History, a museum that collects and preserves historical artifacts, has started a new educational project for the web. Their project is called Information Capsules and will consist of individual websites, each dedicated to a person, place, thing or time. The goal of this project is to create an immersive experience that allows the viewer to learn by hearing, seeing and feeling the information.
Project Overview
Create a site that immerses the user into each category. The overall site must be consistent with the established look but each individual section can vary in theme. The "Capsule" Project is new and should be targeted towards getting younger people involved with history an dthe museum. Overall, the project consists of four sections in the site.
Creatives Needed
• Museum logo-in good resolution and readable
• Pictures
• Videos
• Rollovers (both regular and displaced)
• An interactive game (Only one for all four sections)
• A working membership form (Only one for all four sections)
Deliverable's Dates
• Styleguide due: M/W Class: November 24th, 2008 • T/Th Class: October 25th
• Project Due: M/W Class: December 10th• T/Th Class: December 11th
Required Skills
• Page – title, file name, file structure
• CSS Formatting of Text-external file, h1, h2, background color, font color, font-face, font-size, link color, visited Link color
• Tables - table width, cell width, cell or table color, border, align, cellpadding, cellspacing
• Images - alt tags, size & resolution
• Text - text break, list
• Animation - at least three must be included in the entire site.
• Links - email link, external link
• Upload – files, images, relative paths

Restrictions:
• all text must be written by you or attributed
• all images must be created by you
