Before you can relate through the internet about mathematics,
there is a question that must be addressed!

How do you type math
using a traditional keyboard?

First of all...

You must be very careful when you type mathematics!  The slightest typographical error or misplaced symbol changes the problem! Whenever possible, MCCC students should include the textbook title, course, page and item number along with the problem.   (Our On Line Math Whiz will then have access to that text in case of confusion!)  All students should proofread carefully as they type math.

If you think you can describe your math problem using the symbols that appear on your keyboard, then you're ready to Post a Question for the On Line Math Whiz or Post an Ad for a Study Partner!

Otherwise, choose the description below that best suits you and let's figure out how we're going to handle those math symbols!

I'm pretty new or nervous around computers.

I don't think I can handle anything tricky.

 So keep things nice and easy for me!

I'm a pretty experienced or confident
computer user.

I'm game for a little challenge if it makes it
possible for me to get these math problems up and across the internet.

So what would you like me to try?

OK.  Now I'm ready to post a question for the on-line math whiz.

I'm ready to sign up for an on-line study partner.
