the Night Before Christmas" Will Warm Hearts
At MCCC's Kelsey Theatre Dec. 9-11
N.J. - Holiday merriment is in store as The Kelsey Players
bring Clement Clarke Moore's beloved poem, "'Twas
the Night Before Christmas," to life in an original
heartwarming musical. Jolly Old St. Nick and other characters
will bring tidings of joy to the stage of Mercer County Community
College's Kelsey Theatre Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday,
Dec. 10 at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 11
at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's
Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.
Originally penned as a Christmas present for his children,
Clement Moore's poem has become a cherished classic. The musical
features jolly old St. Nick himself, his eight tiny reindeer,
some remarkably talented sugar plums, and the cutest mouse
in New York City. The Moore family and their neighbors will
create a magical winter wonderland set in 1822 New York for
audiences of all ages to enjoy.
The show kicks off with the hilarious "North Pole's
Got Talent," featuring the brightest stars of the
Arctic, followed by "'Twas." Families are invited
to stay after the show to meet Santa and his friends. Patrons
can donate an unwrapped new toy to Kelsey's annual Toys4Tots
Drive. A collection box is located in the theatre lobby.
