Theatre Hosts Events to Benefit Special Needs Individuals Sept. 12 and
13

MCCC's Kelsey
Theatre will host memorable events Sept. 12 and 13 to benefit individuals
with disabilities. "Through Our Eyes" spotlights
the unique perspectives of special needs individuals on Friday,
Sept. 12. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets
are $35 for rear seating and $50 for front seating. On
Saturday, Sept. 13, the Comedy-Magic of Mark Robinson comes
to Kelsey at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets for the matinee are $20 --
kids welcome! Tickets for the evening performance are $25 for the
front section and $20 for the rear. Kelsey Theatre is located on
the college's West
Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.
A reprise of
sold-out shows presented in 2006 and 2007, "Through Our
Eyes" includes actors of all abilities, ranging from children
to adults. According to director Alan Rosen, who wrote and composed
the show's musical score, cast members will tell their stories through
a series of vignettes and songs. "The audience will discover
how special needs individuals see the world and come away with a
sense that these actors are sharing their lives right on stage,"
he said. "Through
Our Eyes" is presented by ClubArts OnStage, a performing arts
program of Allies, Inc., in Hamilton, N.J.
One of the hottest
magic acts in the country follows on Saturday, Sept. 13. "Direct
from Vegas…The Comedy-Magic of Mark Robinson" features
this talented juggler, comedian, and award-winning illusionist.
His hilarious, unique blend of stand-up comedy and magic has garnered
him rave reviews and earned him the distinction of being "the
funniest magic act you've never seen!"

benefit individuals with disabilities.

evening will also include a silent auction. Anyone wishing to contribute
