The MCCC chapter
of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC)
invites members of the community to a breakfast seminar entitled
"Equipping Women for Growth in the Workplace" on
Friday, March 20. The mentoring/leadership workshop features Teena
Cahill, Psy.D., a psychologist and nationally recognized speaker,
educator and author. Breakfast and registration will start at 8:30
a.m. with the formal presentation to follow from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
The cost is $20 per person including breakfast. The event takes
place in the Student Center Cafeteria on Mercer's West
Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
In her talk, Dr. Cahill will address issues such as making the most
of personal strengths in the workplace and the powerful link between
listening and leadership. According to Cahill, our innate resilience
can help us create a solid platform on which to build lasting leadership
skills, as well as develop strategies to overcome adversity. "Once
you recognize that inner power, you can flourish, contribute to
the world, and cultivate success at work and home," Cahill
says. She will be introduced by MCCC President, Dr. Patricia C.
Donohue, who serves as national president of the AAWCC.
