MCCC's Kelsey Theatre Serves "Stone Soup" March 8

Lessons in sharing and cooperation are on the menu at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre when the award-winning theater company, Theatre IV, presents "Stone Soup" Saturday, March 8 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

In this insightful new musical for young audiences about the importance of community and teamwork, a hungry sailor seeks sustenance from a group of stingy villagers. Initially rebuffing the sailor, the villagers become intrigued by the sailor's claim that he can make soup from a stone. With each villager making just a small contribution, they soon gather enough ingredients for a hearty soup to feed them all. The show is geared for children from kindergarten through fifth grade.
