9/13/07

The brave Mulan assumes a male identity in order to protect her family's honor. In the process, she earns the love of a nation. Join Theatre IV for the tale of a remarkable heroine when "The Song of Mulan" comes to MCCC's Kelsey Theatre Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is conveniently located on Mercer's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

This beloved Chinese folk tale is a noble story of dedication to family. When Mulan learns that her ailing father has been drafted into Khan's army, she decides to serve in his place. Disguised as a man, she risks everything to maintain her family name. With book, music and lyrics by Paul Deiss, the show features beautiful songs and authentic costumes and props. It also provides an educational journey to the heart and soul of an extraordinary ancient civilization.

"Song of Mulan" is an extraordinary tale of a young girl's bravery set in ancient China.
