A circus like
no other is coming to town. Step right up for the "Russian
American Kids Circus," coming to MCCC's Kelsey Theatre.
Young circus stars ages 6 through 18 will perform all manner of
amazing tricks and routines as they juggle, ride unicycles and walk
the tight rope and balance beam. Back by popular demand, this high-flying
troupe will perform at Kelsey for two shows only on Saturday, Jan.
31 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer's West
Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
Trained by veterans of the world famous Moscow Circus, the Russian
American Kids Circus has performed to sold-out crowds on theatrical
stages worldwide and presented workshops in performing art centers,
colleges, theme parks, and other venues. The group began in 1994
when Alex Berenchtein, his wife Regina, and mother-in-law Olga Partigul
opened a nonprofit academy, the New Way Circus Center, Inc., in
Brooklyn, N.Y. Welcoming children of all ages, nationalities, languages,
ethnic backgrounds, and races, the academy has given many children
an opportunity to develop self-expression, discipline and teamwork
through the artistry of circus performance skills.
Tickets are $12 for all and may be purchased online
