“If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” and Other Story Books
Come to Life at Kelsey Theatre June 3

Children of all ages will delight in “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and Other Story Books,” a sparkling musical revue that closes out the children’s season at MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre. Theatreworks/USA presents this “best of” in popular children’s literature on Saturday, June 3 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer’s West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

In this charming series of “mini-musicals,” Laura Joffe Numeroff’s “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” starts off the fun with a hilarious lesson in cause-and-effect. Other stories include “Amazing Grace,” about a girl who attempts to break stereotypes; “Owen,” featuring a boy who is starting kindergarten but can’t bear to part with his beloved blanket; “Martha Speaks,” about an adventurous family dog who begins to speak after eating alphabet soup; “Borreguita and the Coyote,” a Mexican tale of a little lamb who outsmarts a hungry coyote; “Math Curse,” a playful take on kids’ phobia about math; and “Imogene's Antlers,” about a girl who wakes up one morning with antlers.

Tickets for “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” are $8 for everyone. Free parking is available next to the theater. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-584-9444. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request.  For a complete listing of adult and children’s events, visit the Kelsey webpage.
