Do you believe?
When the Macy's Department Store Santa claims to be the real Kris
Kringle, adults and children alike are forced to re-examine their
beliefs. Join The Pennington Players for the magical holiday classic,
"Miracle on 34th Street," coming to MCCC's Kelsey
Theatre Fridays, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Dec. 1
and 8 at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Sundays, Dec. 2 and 9 at 2 p.m. Kelsey
Theatre is located on the college's West
Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. In celebration of the
season, Kelsey Theatre is hosting a toy collection for charity in
the lobby through Dec. 21.
Meet department
store executive Doris Walker, who has a no-nonsense attitude about
most things, Santa Claus included! But when the original Santa proves
too unreliable to perform his duties at the store, an old man is
quickly recruited who severely tests her attitudes, along with those
of her skeptical daughter Susan, the store's incompetent psychologist,
and a host of others. This delightful production captures the true
wonder of the holidays - right down to a condensed version of the
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on the Kelsey stage. Children are
also welcome to bring their letters for Santa, which will be collected
and presented to the big man himself.
