Experience
the adventures of one of the most popular characters in children's
literature. ArtsPower National Touring Theatre brings "Madeline
and the Bad Hat" to MCCC's Kelsey Theatre May 10 at 2 and
4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West
Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
Based on the
much loved Madeline series by Ludwig Bemelmans, this original musical
follows the intrigues of Madeline, her classmates, and Miss Clavel
as they cope with a difficult new neighbor, Pepito, the Spanish
Ambassador's naughty son. Rude and conceited, Pepito quickly earns
the nickname, the "Bad Hat." But the tables turn when
Pepito finds himself in eminent danger and the smart and spunky
Madeline comes to his rescue. Can she teach Pepito a lesson? Does
he have a good side after all? This gently amusing tale of enemies
who become friends will charm and entertain children and parents
alike.
