“Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” Comes to MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre Feb. 26

The most famous reptile in children’s literature is coming to Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre. The award-winning Theatre IV presents “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” for two performances only on Saturday, February 26 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on Mercer’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Based on the popular books by Bernard Waber, Theatre IV’s crowd-pleasing musical has been warmly received by audiences nationwide. Join young Josh Primm as he moves to New York City and embarks on magical adventures with his loving parents, his stage-struck nemesis Hector P. Valenti, his rambunctious new friends, his persnickety neighbor Mr. Grumps, and his extraordinary reptilian pet Lyle.

Theatre IV is a nonprofit, professional theatre company for young audiences, which has toured since 1975 from Wisconsin to Florida and Texas to Maine, while also presenting lavish productions in its home city of Richmond, Va. During 2004-2005 Theatre IV is expected to perform live before nearly two million children, teens, parents and teachers in 33 states.

Tickets for “Lyle” are $8 for everyone. Free parking is available next to the theatre. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-584-9444. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request. For a complete listing of adult and children’s events or information on group rates, visit the Kelsey webpage or call the box office for a brochure.
