Kelsey Theatre Announces 10 Perry Award Nominations
For Last Season's Shows

West Windsor, N.J. -- MCCC's Kelsey Theatre is proud to announce its nominees for the 2011 New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT) Perry Awards. Nominees include:

  • Judi Parrish for Outstanding Sound Design of a Play for PinnWorth Productions'
    Amadeus"
  • Kate M. Pinner for Outstanding Costume Design of a Play for PinnWorth Productions' "Amadeus"
  • John M. Maurer for Outstanding Costume Design of a Play of Maurer Productions OnStage for "A Few Good Men"
  • Kathy Slothower, Jill Purdy and William Mercado for Outstanding Costume Design of a Musical for Pennington Players' "Seussical"
  • Elizabeth Blazejewski, Beverly Kuo and John M. Maurer for Outstanding Properties of a Musical for the Pennington Players' "Seussical"
  • William Mercado for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical for Maurer Productions OnStage's "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"
    William Mercado for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical for the Pennington Player's Seussical
  • Jesse Dubin for Outstanding Youth Actor in a Play for Maurer Productions OnStage's
    "A Few Good Men"
  • Alycia Bauch-Cantor for Outstanding Stage Manager for Maurer Productions OnStage's "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"
  • Jeff Cantor for Outstanding Stage Manager for Maurer Productions OnStage's "A Few Good Men"

Kelsey Theatre Artistic Director M. Kitty Getlik congratulates the nominees, noting that more than 400 shows presented by companies across the state were reviewed last year. She adds that there were many additional Kelsey performers and production personnel worthy of nominations.

Winners will be announced at an awards banquet Sept. 18. For the full list of nominees, click on the NJACT website here.

The 2011-12 Kelsey Theatre season opens with "Blood Brothers The Musical," to be presented by Pierrot Productions Sept. 9-18. To view the complete Kelsey season and ticket package options, click here. Tickets for new subscribers and all individual shows begin August 26.
