When James Henry Trotter hitches a ride in a giant peach, he embarks on a journey that will change his life forever. Join The Pennington Players for the unforgettable "James and the Giant Peach" at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre. Dates and show times for this family classic are: Friday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 27 and 28 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is conveniently located on Mercer's West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Orphaned at a young age, James Henry Trotter leads a life of misery with his exceedingly nasty relatives, Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge. Escape comes by way of a giant peach, which whisks James off for adventures galore, accompanied by a set of odd, new insect friends. Based on the acclaimed book by Roald Dahl, and released as a popular movie in 1996, "James and the Giant Peach" gives the whole family a hero to celebrate.

The cast features Paul McGlew as James, Joseph Ahmed as Grasshopper, Alex Charwin as the Old Man, Chi Chi Do-Nguyen as Silkworm, Tiffany Dydak as Miss Spider, Laurel Johnson as Aunt Spiker, Rose McGlew as Ladybug, Kevin Palardy as Father, Brent Rivers as Earthworm, Kristen Robinson as Aunt Sponge, Michael Schiumo as Centipede, and Jane Sorensen as Mother. The show is directed by Keenan "Kyrus" Westcott.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and $8 for children and seniors. Free parking is available next to the theater. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-570-3333. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request.
